Thanks to President Trump, drug prices are actually falling

President Donald J. Trump’s relentless focus on lowering drug costs is the reason Americans are seeing the largest, most persistent drop in medicine prices in half a century.

American healthcare leads the world on many fronts, including crucial medical innovation that is the envy of patients around the globe. But the high price of prescription drugs has hurt both our senior citizens and working families for far too long.

In the 8 years before President Trump’s inauguration—while Washington focused on government takeovers of healthcare rather than on solving real-world problems—prescription drug prices continued to climb by more than 3 ½ percent year-over-year. Today, prices for those drugs have seen year-over-year declines in 9 of the past 10 months.

What changed? The President. Rather than kick Americans off their health insurance plans or team up with socialists to plot “Medicare for All,” here are a few of the practical steps the Trump Administration took to make medicine prices more affordable:

Record generic approvals: The FDA is now approving generic drugs at historic rates, generating savings for patients estimated at $26 billion.

 

Ending unacceptable pharmacy gag clauses: President Trump signed legislation banning pharmacy “gag clauses,” which prohibited pharmacists from telling patients about the best deals on the medications they need.

 

Strengthening Medicare Part D: The Administration finalized changes to Medicare’s payment rate for certain drugs to lower expenses for seniors, as well as provided more tools to demystify out-of-pocket costs for beneficiaries.  

The result of these and other common-sense actions: Just this past June, prescription drug prices saw their largest year-over-year decline in more than 51 years.

Even better, Washington is on the verge of a bipartisan breakthrough to help American patients further. Senate Democrats and Republicans have joined to craft a transformative drug pricing bill that would improve Medicare Part D, hold drug companies more accountable, and save federal taxpayers billions of dollars to boot.

The Grassley-Wyden bill, backed by President Trump, would significantly cut what seniors have to pay for prescription drugs. Under the proposal, for the first time ever, Medicare Part D beneficiaries would have an annual cap on their total drug expenses. The $3,100 limit on out-of-pocket costs—which works out to about $258 per month—would save many seniors thousands of dollars. An inflation cap proposed under the bill would also end arbitrary and often devastating spikes in drug prices. 

Congress needs to send drug pricing reform to President Trump’s desk this year. Americans have waited long enough. There’s just one holdup, and it’s a familiar one: House Democrats’ partisan stunts. While Congressional Republicans have tried to push ahead with bipartisan solutions, Speaker Nancy Pelosi cut a deal not with conservatives or moderates but with members of her own party’s far-left Progressive Caucus.

The Pelosi bill is a win for the growing Democrat-Socialist movement. It relies on a bureaucrat to dictate prices for innovative medicines and enforces it with a massive tax that would put companies out of business. The Council of Economic Advisers predicts the far-left bill could erase nearly one-quarter of the anticipated gains in American life expectancy over the next decade.

So instead of joining with Senate Democrats—and Republicans in both chambers—to keep their promises to working Americans, Speaker Pelosi is backing a separate bill that is entirely partisan, unworkable, and in fact deeply harmful to Americans’ health.

It’s no wonder Americans want to drain the Swamp.

New Study Explains How The HPV Vaccine Can Trigger “An Extremely Wide Spectrum of Autoimmune Diseases”

The powerful government-pharmaceutical industry partnership that has been foisting human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination on girls and boys around the world since 2006 now has working-age adults within its sights. Merck’s Gardasil 9 received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for expanded use in the 27-45 age group in late 2018, and there are signs that a campaign is afoot to achieve the same end result in other countries.

HPV vaccines have been linked to over 100,000 reported adverse events globally, including disabling autoimmune conditions and deaths, but officials seem unconcerned. Merck set the tone for the truth-stretching claim that HPV vaccine risks are “negligible” when it conducted its initial clinical trials for Gardasil and dismissed as irrelevant the serious medical conditions that arose—within seven months—in half of all participants who received the vaccine.

With the accumulation of studies since those early trials, it is getting harder to deny the existence of a disabling post-HPV vaccination syndrome. Although researchers admit that they do not yet fully understand the mechanisms whereby HPV vaccines wreak their autoimmune havoc, the phenomenon of immune cross-reactivity offers one highly plausible explanation. In a new study in Pathobiology, two of the most-published researchers on this topic report on the overlap between human proteins and HPV antigens. The authors consider their results indicative of “a cross-reactivity potential capable of triggering an extremely wide and complex spectrum of autoimmune diseases.”

Molecular mimicry

Scientists view autoimmunity as the prolonged and pathological response that arises when the immune system gets confused between “self” and “non-self” due to molecular similarities between an environmental agent and the host. The specific hypothesis—called molecular mimicry—is that “either a virus or bacteria…initiate and exacerbate an autoimmune response through sequence or structural similarities with self-antigens.”

Although the molecular mimicry concept has been floating around for at least three decades, relatively few researchers have been willing to make the conceptual leap to inquire whether the viral or bacterial antigens in vaccines provoke the same pathological response. In their Pathobiology study, however, the two authors—Drs. Darja Kanduc (Italy) and Yehuda Shoenfeld (Israel)—do just that, looking at HPV through the lens of both HPV infection and “active immunization.” Using cutting-edge molecular biology techniques to look at matching peptide sequences in HPV “epitopes” and human proteins, Kanduc and Shoenfeld examine epitopes from 15 different HPV types, including eight of the nine types included in Gardasil 9. (An epitope is the portion of an antigen capable of stimulating an immune response.)

Confirming that there is an “impressively high extent” of peptide sharing between HPV epitopes and human proteins, the two authors then outline numerous pathological implications of their results, giving examples of “human proteins that—when hit by cross-reactions generated by HPV infection/active immunization—may associate with diseases and autoimmune manifestations.” The latter include:

• Reproductive abnormalities, including “ovarian dysgenesis, anovulation and male infertility, altered gene expression during oogenesis, premature ovarian failure, diminished ovarian reserve, accelerated primordial follicle loss, oocyte DNA damage, as well as susceptibility to breast/ovarian cancer” and “disorders in spermatogenesis, sperm-egg fusion, or spermatid maturation and male infertility”
• Neuropsychiatric diseases, including “epilepsy, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, and brain cancer”
• Lupus manifestations
• Circulatory effects, including “altered control of the vascular dynamics, pain, fevers associated with the menstrual cycle, depression, hypotension, and dysregulation of blood pressure”
• Cardiac effects, including “cardiac autoimmunity and sudden unexplained death”

The role of adjuvants

As Kanduc and Schoenfeld state, the HPV-human protein overlap documented in their study is not unique to HPV; many other microbial sequences share significant commonalities with human proteins as well. Because the overlap is so widespread, some researchers are skeptical of cross-reactivity and dismiss it as more “fantasy” than “fact.” To explain why cross-reactivity is plausible in the context of vaccination, the two authors describe, in other publications, another important piece of the puzzle: vaccine adjuvants and comparable environmental “stimuli.” In fact, they argue, the “sole purpose” of a vaccine adjuvant is to gin up an immune response that otherwise would be unlikely to occur—and when the adjuvant is paired with foreign peptides that are similar to human peptides, a “reasonable outcome may be the development of crossreactivity and autoimmunity.”

FDA: Over 6,000 Dead From Puberty Blocking Drug For Transgender Children
A drug used to block puberty in children with gender dysphoria is responsible for the death of over 6,300 people, according to the Food & Drug Administration (FDA).

The Christian Post reports Leuprolide Acetate (Lupron) “is being prescribed off-label for use in children who have been diagnosed with gender dysphoria despite the lack of formal FDA approval for that purpose.”

“The drug is clinically approved for treatment of precocious puberty, a condition where children start their pubertal processes at an abnormally early age and the blocker is administered for a short time until the proper age,” the outlet continues.

Citing FDA data, the article reads, “Between 2012 and June 30 of this year, the FDA documented over 40,764 adverse reactions suffered by patients who took Leuprolide Acetate (Lupron), which is used as a hormone blocker. More than 25,500 reactions logged from 2014-2019 were considered ‘serious,’ including 6,370 deaths.”

A California-based endocrinologist named Michael Laidlaw has been exposing the controversial tactic of prescribing testosterone to girls as young as 8 who suffer from gender dysphoria.

Laidlaw argues, “Gender dysphoria is not an endocrine condition, but is a psychological one and should, therefore, be treated with proper psychological care.”

However, when puberty blockers are given to children, an endocrine condition is created.

This dangerous practice is becoming increasingly lucrative for Big Pharma company AbbVie, with Lupron sales in the United States hitting $669 million in 2017.

Aluminum is a Key Ingredient in MANY Vaccines: Here’s Why it’s So Dangerous

If it isn’t one toxic ingredient, it’s another. While mercury-containing thimerosal may not be widely used in vaccines these days, that doesn’t make Big Pharma’s inoculations any safer. Aluminum is a common vaccine ingredient — and it’s typically used as an adjuvant in order to purposely agitate the immune system. Unsurprisingly, there is a substantial body of evidence which indicates that aluminum is a potential health hazard.

In spite of the obvious, aluminum remains at the top of the vaccine ingredient food chain. The pharmaceutical industry even has federal agencies like the CDC going on pro-aluminum propaganda campaigns to convince the masses that it is safe.

Assurances about the safety of vaccines and vaccine ingredients is essentially meaningless, however, given that most of the industry-led vaccine “science” is fake. However, not all research on vaccines is bad. There is still some reputable evidence to be had, even if Big Pharma tries their best to bury it.

Aluminum is toxic

While aluminum may be abundant, that does not mean it is safe for injection. Writing for Waking Times, John Rappoport points to Children’s Health Defense and their science library as one of the best resources for individuals looking for real science on vaccine ingredients and safety.

Rappoport points to three separate studies from 2016, all of which point to the various harms aluminum adjuvants in vaccines can cause. As Rapoport reports, in a paper for the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons, Neil Z. Miller writes:
“Infants and young children throughout the world receive high quantities of aluminum from multiple inoculations. Incremental changes to the vaccination schedule during the past several years significantly increased the quantity of aluminum in childhood shots. Numerous studies provide compelling evidence that injected aluminum can be detrimental to health. Aluminum is capable of remaining in cells long after vaccination and may cause neurologic and autoimmune disorders. During early development, the child’s brain is more susceptible to toxins and the kidneys are less able to eliminate them. Thus, children have a greater risk than adults of adverse reactions to aluminum in vaccines. Millions of children every year are injected with vaccines containing mercury and aluminum despite well-established experimental evidence of the potential for additive or synergistic toxicity when an organism is exposed to two or more toxic metals.”
Across the board, independent researchers seem to agree that aluminum has a great potential to cause harm. Specifically, scientists say that aluminum exposure can lead to neurological and autoimmune disorders. Infants and young children are at the most risk, due to the high number of vaccines they receive in such a short span of time.

Health risks of aluminium

Aluminum is used for many things, but few people know that as a metal, aluminum is neurotoxic. Earlier this year, scientific research confirmed that aluminum accumulation in the brain can cause autism.

This is big news because vaccines contain lots of aluminum — and past evidence has shown that aluminum has a real tendency to accumulate in the brain and central nervous system. The accumulation of metals in the brain is also believed to cause Alzheimer’s disease later in life.

Research from 2016 also shows that some infants may be at an increased risk of being exposed to an unsafe amount of aluminum via vaccines. This puts babies at an even higher risk of being maimed by way of inoculation — and these days, Big Pharma is pushing to vaccinate kids more often and at much younger ages.

Even the federal government has admitted that aluminum is harmful to humans and that the most susceptible target for aluminum in the human body is the central nervous system. In addition to autism, aluminum exposure has been linked to other neurological deficits, autoimmune conditions, respiratory problems and more. Clearly, aluminum is not “safe” by any  means.

Johns Hopkins to open research center studying ‘magic mushrooms,’ other psychedelic treatments

Johns Hopkins Medicine announced Wednesday it is opening a new research center to test the effectiveness of so-called magic mushrooms and other psychedelic drugs to treat mental health issues and addiction.

The Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research, which Johns Hopkins said is believed to be the first such research facility in the U.S., is being backed by a $17 million donation from private donors. The university said the center will rely on private donations as federal funding cannot be used for such research involving illegal drugs.

“The center’s establishment reflects a new era of research in therapeutics and the mind through studying this unique and remarkable class of pharmacological compounds,” Roland Griffiths, the center’s director and a professor of behavioral biology, said in a statement. “In addition to studies on new therapeutics, we plan to investigate creativity and well-being in healthy volunteers that we hope will open up new ways to support human thriving.”

A massive outbreak of mumps is plaguing migrant detention centers across the U.S., according to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report.

There have been 931 cases of mumps in 57 Customs and Border Protection detention facilities across 19 U.S. states from September 2018 to August 2019 , the report states. The disease has reportedly afflicted migrant detainees as well as facility staff.

“These detention centers are a perfect storm for mumps to spread. Individuals have to be within 3-6 feet of each other to spread this virus. Sneezing, coughing on someone, or sharing a drink can spread the virus.” Dr. Todd Ellerin, Director of Infectious Diseases and Vice Chair of Medicine at Southshore Health in Massachusetts, told ABC News.

Immunization is the most effective way to combat mumps, according to CDC, though CBP officials say they do not routinely offer the mumps vaccine to detainees, according to ABC.

“In general, due to the short-term nature of CBP holding and the complexities of operating vaccination programs, neither CBP nor its medical contractors administer vaccinations to those in our custody,” a CBP spokeswoman said.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement also says it does not routinely provide vaccination to detainees unless medically necessary.

“Flu and other common vaccinations are offered by request only and are not routinely mandated unless deemed medically necessary, in that doing so would prevent a wider outbreak,” an ICE spokesperson said in a statement, according to ABC.

Ellerin is a strong advocate for vaccination in detention centers.

“From a public health perspective, I feel strongly that the benefits of vaccinating detainees against the flu and mumps outweighs the risks,” he told ABC.

“It is important that the staff receive maximal vaccination to avoid spreading the virus to their families, children, and communities,” he added.

Mumps is a viral infection that can cause fever, body aches and swollen glands, according to ABC. It spreads through respiratory contact, and does so very efficiently in close contact spaces such as detention centers, according to the report.

Word of Caution: The most common negative effects of St. John’s wort are dizziness, nausea, fatigue, and confusion. Tattoos have risen to mainstream status while maintaining their rebellious appeal. According to a 2015 Harris Poll, nearly 50% of millennials and 40% of individuals under the age of 35 have at least one tattoo.

Despite their prominence, tattoos are not as safe as most consumers assume. Research regarding their safety has lagged behind their popularity; however, medical science is raising new concerns about toxin exposure and subsequent health risks. These risks may not be clarified or manifest in exposed individuals for years to come.

The United States Food and Drug Administration encourages people to “Think Before You Ink,” however, it does not effectively regulate tattoo ink or its composition. Though it has “not approved any pigments for injection into the skin for cosmetic purposes,” there are no product labeling requirements, leaving consumers at the mercy of ink manufacturers. The FDA acknowledges that tattoo inks may contain industrial strength pigments formulated for printers or automobile paint.

Tattooing is more akin to a medical procedure than many consumers recognize, without a thorough disclosure or understanding of the potential harms. It is important to note that the placement of body ink prompts an immune system response and increases systemic vulnerability to toxin exposure. The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), a European Union equivalent to the FDA, remarked in 2018 that it is “well known that tattoo inks can and do contain substances of concern such as identified carcinogens.” Carcinogens are chemicals known to cause cancer.

A patient in Illinois is the first to die of a mysterious lung illness linked to vaping, public health officials announced on Friday. The death occurred as doctors and hospitals nationwide report an increasing number of vaping-related respiratory illnesses this summer: 193 cases have now been reported in 22 states, including 22 cases in Illinois, officials said. They have been stumped in recent weeks by the cause. State investigators have not found a common link — other than vaping in general — among the patients turning up in emergency rooms. Many patients, including some in Illinois, have acknowledged vaping of tetrahydrocannabinol, or (T.H.C.), the high-inducing chemical in marijuana, according to statements from federal and state health agencies.

Another Reason To End Fluoridation: Fluoride Consumption During Pregnancy Lowers IQ Of Children

An influential medical research Journal the American Medical Association (JAMA) published a very interesting study that links fluoride consumption during pregnancy to lower IQs in children.

The study funded by the Canadian government and the U.S. National Institute of Environmental Health Science, was conducted using 512 pregnant women from six Canadian cities. The scientists then measured their exposure in various different ways including – analyzing the amount of fluoride in their urine; looking at how much tap water and tea they drank; and comparing the fluoride concentration in the community drinking water.

Then, after the women had birth and the children were 3 or 4, the researchers administered IQ tests to the kids.

“We saw an association between prenatal fluoride exposure and lower IQ scores in children,” said Rivka Green, lead author of the study.

Fellow researcher, Christine Till, agreed with Rivka Green. She stated to NPR that:

“Only boys were affected when we looked at urinary fluoride,” she says, “but both boys and girls were affected when we looked at maternal fluoride intake or water fluoride concentration.” 

“I think people are going to be shocked but I think people should realize that science is constantly evolving,” senior study author Till says. A previous study in Mexico found a similar link, she says, so this is not the first to suggest a connection. This finding is likely to spur more research on the topic.

There are three types of fluoride used to “fluoridate” water supplies: Fluorosilicic acid, sodium fluorosilicate, and sodium fluoride.

Fluorosilicic acid is the type most often used for cost reasons, and it is derived from phosphate fertilizers according to the CDC’s website.

The other two are created by adding either table salt or caustic soda to the mix. Fluoride is also found in toothpaste, food, tea and other products.

Harvard Professor David Bellinger stated that “high-quality epidemiological studies,” are still needed. However, “the hypothesis that fluoride is a neurodevelopmental toxicant must now be given serious consideration,” Bellinger added.

Someone needs to educate the Daily Beast on fluoride since they inaccurately mocked the dangers of a potential neurotoxic chemical, stating essentially that fluoride is safe and anyone who says its not is a conspiracy theorist in a recent fluoride propaganda article.

Daily Beast even attempts to mix in being health conscious about fluoride with caring about vaccinations and various metallic adjuvants. What the Beast’s ignorance fails to address are the numerous amounts of problems with both fluoride and vaccines. No, fluoride is not safe; it accumulates and never finds a way out of your body. But don’t tell the Daily Beast that daunting factoid.  In fact, the same medical journal, the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), stated in their Sept. 18, 1943 issue that fluorides are general protoplasmic poisons that change the permeability of the cell membrane by certain enzymes. And an editorial published in the Journal of the American Dental Association on Oct. 1, 1944,  stated:

Drinking water containing as little as 1.2 ppm fluoride will cause developmental disturbances. We cannot run the risk of producing such serious systemic disturbances. The potentialities for harm outweigh those for good.

If you bring up the topic of fluoride you’ll be heavily ridiculed, as the Daily Beast proved. However, numerous cited scientific research studies in the rest of this article will make you think twice. That maybe, just maybe, a chemical does cause damage to the human body in numerous ways and is linked to several disorders affecting teeth, bones, the brain, and the thyroid gland, as well as lowering IQ.

Fluoridating water has long been debated across the country, and some opponents have argued that its health effects aren’t completely understood. There is a host of scientific research besides what’s mentioned above that I guess Daily Beast just decides doesn’t exist.

To this writer’s knowledge, in 1995, Dr. Phyllis Mullenix Ph.D., a highly respected pharmacologist and toxicologist, found that rats who had fluoride added to their diet exhibited abnormal behavioral traits in a published study.

In 2005, a study conducted at the Harvard School of Dental Health found that fluoride in tap water directly contributed to causing bone cancer in young boys.

“New American research suggests that boys exposed to fluoride between the ages of five and 10 will suffer an increased rate of osteosarcoma – bone cancer – between the ages of 10 and 19,” according to a London Observer article about the study.

Based on the findings of the study, the respected Environmental Working Group — a non-profit research organization environmental watchdog — lobbied to have fluoride in tap water be added to the U.S. government’s classified list of substances known or anticipated to cause cancer.

After reviewing fluoride toxicological data, the NRC reported in 2006, “It’s apparent that fluorides have the ability to interfere with the functions of the brain.”

In another article by Scientific American, a study “Concluded that fluoride can subtly alter endocrine function, especially in the thyroid — the gland that produces hormones regulating growth and metabolism.”

The report also notes that “a series of epidemiological studies in China have associated high fluoride exposures with lower IQ.”

“Epidemiological studies and tests on lab animals suggest that high fluoride exposure increases the risk of bone fracture, especially in vulnerable populations such as the elderly and diabetics,” writes Dan Fagin.

Fagin interviewed Steven Levy, director of the Iowa Fluoride Study which tracked about 700 Iowa children for sixteen years. Nine-year-old “Iowa children who lived in communities where the water was fluoridated were 50 percent more likely to have mild fluorosis… than [nine-year-old] children living in nonfluoridated areas of the state,” writes Fagin.

His office oversees the regime’s most brutal instruments, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.” The President’s actions are a strong yet proportionate response to Iran’s recent string of provocative behaviors. Last week, Iran shot down an American drone over international waters. Earliest this month, Iran attacked two commercial vessels and used proxy forces to attack civilian infrastructure in Saudi Arabia. Perhaps most alarming, the regime also recently announced that it will be increasing its stockpile of enriched uranium in the coming days. Today’s sanctions send a firm message to Tehran: They’re no longer dealing with an Administration naive or indifferent to their malign behavior. In Fox News, Middle East expert Tom Basile called former President Obama’s “sweetheart deal with Iran” his worst foreign policy blunder of all. “Obama wanted his Iran deal at all costs, and those costs were steep. It amounted to access to more than $100 billion, ending most sanctions, opening the country to foreign investment, among other benefits for the regime,” Basile writes. In other words, the Iran deal handed the world’s largest state sponsor of terror unprecedented financial capabilities. Those days are over. Last year, President Trump withdrew the United States from the deal and put the regime on notice—either change course or face crippling economic pressure. That choice became even clearer today when the President authorized putting sanctions on anyone who provides material support to the Supreme Leader’s Office.
