Just last month, a judge in Vermont ruled that mandatory GMO labeling will stand in the state, thwarting Big Food’s efforts to undermine the law. That’s a win for the 92% of consumers who want to know what’s in their food.
But right now, Congress is considering legislation
that would undo that progress—and prevent it from taking shape in other
states.
What happened in Vermont is a great reminder of what
we can accomplish when we make our voices heard. But it also draws focus
on what’s at stake if we don’t keep up the pressure on our legislators.
We can’t afford to go backwards when it comes to transparency in the
food industry.
                  Thanks for everything you do,
                  Tom
